Buzz Thompson, who has been playing guitar and harp and singing lead vocals for 50 years, has played with many noted musicians such as The Stampeders, The Band, George Olliver, Jerry Lee Lewis, Kris Kristofferson, Carl Perkins and Jeff Healey. Buzz has recorded with Ronnie Hawkins and Max Mouse and the Gorillas. He has played in shows at Massey Hall and the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, the Edmonton Colliseum and the Ottawa Civic Centre. Buzz is honoured on the Peterborough Walk of Fame and has won three Wire Awards and the Alumni Wire Award. While playing in Ronnie Hawkin’s band, Buzz appeared on the Conan O’Brien Show, Mike Bullard Show and the Rita MacNeil Show.
